BISE AJK Board Mirpur ajkbise.edu.pk

Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education has the responsibility to conduct matric and intermediate exams in the whole area of Azad Jammu & Kashmir as it is the only secondary and higher secondary board in the whole area. BISE AJK was established in 1973 in Mirpur, AJK. Before that, secondary and intermediate level exams in AJK were taken by Lahore Board. AJK Board conducts the annual exams of SSC and HSSC during the months of March/ April and May/ June respectively. All the schools and colleges in AJK are affiliated with BISE AJK while thousands of regular and private students participate in the SSC and HSSC exams under AJK Board every year.

Admission and registration process in the schools and colleges affiliated with BISE AJK starts two or three months before the start of regular classes of new academic year in order to complete the admission process in time. SSC part 1 & 2 classes in schools start new academic year in the month of April while HSSC part 1 & 2 classes of new academic year in colleges begin in September.

BISE AJK changes the paper pattern and examination syllabus almost every year in order to increase educational and examinational standard. AJK Board issues the model papers every year to inform students about the recent changes as the model papers contain the latest paper pattern and examination syllabus. Past papers are used to get information about the important questions which are repeated from time to time in the exams. These past papers can be acquired from the market.

Two months before the start of matric and intermediate level exams, BISE AJK issues the date sheet of the exams at its website. The students can easily view and download their date sheet from the official site of the board. Roll number slips of students are sent by the board to the students trough post one month before the start of the exams. These roll number slips contain candidate’s roll number, examination time table, venue and important instructions.

Couple of months after the exams, BISE AJK announces the results of matric and intermediate annual exams. The results are uploaded at the official site of the board soon after the result announcement while the concerned students receive their result cards few days after the announcement of the results.
